Peak District National Park Authority (PDNPA) is the local Planning Authority and they have full powers when considering planning applications.
Winster Parish Council is consulted on all applications falling within the parish boundary. These are considered at monthly meetings which are usually held on the first Monday evening of every month or by the Planning Committee, when required. All applications are fully considered and recommendations are then passed to PDNPA for their deliberations. They may take them on board or disregard as they see fit. Members of the public are entitled to attend all our meetings and may speak on any item, including planning applications, under the Public Participation section of the meeting. Please see our Public Participation Policy below for further details.
Planning Applications submitted to the planning authority can be found here.
For residents, you must be aware of the Conservation Area as this imposes further restrictions should your property be located within it. Please check with PDNPA before you carry out any work on a tree within the Conservation Area.
Planning Applications may be viewed at the Peak District National Park Planning Portal.
