Winster Parish Council new owners of Winster Ore House

Winster Parish Council new owners of Winster Ore House

Last July we reported that the parish was successful in its tender to purchase the Ore House from the National Park Authority, securing the building's future and maintaining public ownership.

The purchase recently completed and the building is now in the ownership of the parish council.

Advance notice of road closure at Grange Mill

Advance notice of road closure at Grange Mill

Derbyshire County Council is proposing to temporarily close the B5056 from Longcliffe to Grangemill from a point 300 metres north from the A5012 Grangemill junction. The closure will be in effect 5th to 7th November 2019 to facilitate water pipe repairs by STW. Further details regarding the closure can be found here.

Witnesses Wanted to Newhaven Accident

Officers investigating a collision in Newhaven, on Friday 20 September, are appealing for witnesses to the incident.

Officers were called at 10.20am that morning to reports of a collision between a maroon Citroen C4 and white Vauxhall Astra on the northbound Newhaven stretch of the A515, towards Buxton.
