Derbyshire Dales District Council has appointed Cllr D Greatorex and Cllr J Plant, temporarily to Winster Parish Council under Section 91(1) of the Local Government Act 1972.

Temporary appointments to Winster Parish Council
Following recent member resignations the parish council is presently unable to act and has business that it is required to transact before elections can be held to fill vacancies on the council.

New gate opens up one of the Peak District’s most iconic locations
A stile with one of the most iconic views in the Peak District National Park has been transformed, making it more accessible to visitors.
The dilapidated ladder stile near Winnats Pass has been replaced with a new accessible stock-proof gate, thanks in part to funding by Peak District photographer Wesley Kristopher Chambers.

Have your say on ward boundaries for Derbyshire Dales District Council
The Local Government Boundary Commission for England has published draft recommendations for new wards, ward boundaries, and ward names for Derbyshire Dales District Council.
The Commission is now inviting comments on those recommendations.
Our consultation closes on 12 April 2021.

Opportunity for National Park projects to win national recognition
Projects to protect or enhance the Peak District National Park have the chance to win a £1,000 prize award to help their work.
