Footpaths (Rights of Way)
Winster Public Footpath 4
Winster has approximately seven miles of public rights of way (Footpaths & Restricted Byways) which contributes to the Derbyshire network.
Derbyshire County Council, as highway authority, is responsible for the management of the network within the county and details about the service, how to report a fault or to view rights of way in Derbyshire, can be found here.
The Parish Council carries out some works within the parish on behalf of Derbyshire County Council through a formal agreement. The agreement enables the Parish Council to carry out minor works for which a small grant is received annually. Minor works are defined as:
- Cutting and clearing surface vegetation.
- Minor surface repairs.
- Minor drainage works.
